Cool project.
There’s an old dilapidated military fort on Governor’s Island.
These people want to turn it into a brand spanking new performing arts center. Built to defend “us” against the British in the War of 1812, the space has the exact same blueprint to Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre in London. 
This project could be easily deaded. Send an email to the National Park Service telling them not to kill this great idea. (Deadline for public comments is March 18 at 11:59PM.)
